The waiting list for 1-bedroom units at Orchards Senior Homes opens on November 19, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Applications will be available to submit online Please visit www.sahahomes.org/apply. A valid email address is required to apply online. Online applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on December 3, 2025.
Paper applications will be available for pick up at 2719 Foothill Blvd, Oakland, CA 94601 at the following times:
- Tuesdays – November 25 and December 2
- Thursdays – November 20 and November 27
- 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Paper applications will be available online to print. Paper applications must be mailed to the address listed on the application. Applications submitted by mail must be received at the address listed on the application by December 3, 2025.
Eligibility
- Head of household must be age 62 years of age or older at the time of application.

A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. The top 400 applications will be placed on the waiting list for consideration. If additional applications are needed, we reserve the right to process the next applications in lottery order.

Unit includes On-site Property Management, Supportive Services Controlled entry to building, onsite laundry facilities. No Parking Available. Large secure outdoor terrace with seating areas, variety of fruit trees and native plants, community.
