The waiting list for 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units at Flicker Bird Homes has reopened on September 24, 2025 at 9:00 AM. If you have already applied to the first waiting list opening, there is no need to complete a second application.

Applications for the reopening will be available to submit online. A valid email address is required to apply online. Online applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on October 8, 2025. Please visit www.sahahomes.org/apply for more information.

Paper applications are available for pick up at the off-site location: 540 21st Street, Oakland, CA 94612 at the following times:

• Tuesdays, September 30 and October, 7
• 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Paper applications will also be available to print online. Paper applications must be received at the address listed on the application by October 8, 2025. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. Please call the number above for assistance.

Paper applications are NOT available at the property site. The property is currently under construction. Do NOT attempt to enter the construction site.

Eligibility

• Head of household must be age 18 years or older, or legally emancipated, at the time of application.

A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. All applicants will be placed on the waiting list for consideration. If additional applications are needed, we reserve the right to process the next applications in lottery order.
