Building Description
Waiting List Open
Eligibility: Head of Household must be 55 years or older and deaf or hard of hearing at the time of application. Additional household members must be age 45 or older or meet an exception. Please see flyer for exceptions.
The waiting list for 1-bedroom units at Fremont Oak Gardens opens on November 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
Applications will be available online to print. Please visit www.sahahomes.org/apply for more information.
Paper applications will also be available to pick up at 2681 Driscoll Road, Fremont, CA 94539 at the following times:
· Wednesday, November 29, 2023 through Friday, December 1, 2023, 10am – 4pm
· Monday, December 4, 2023 through Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 10am – 4pm
Paper applications must be mailed to the address listed on the application. Applications must be postmarked by December 13, 2023 AND received by the manager’s office by 5:00 PM on December 20, 2023.
A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. The top 300 applications will be placed on the waiting list for consideration. The 24-hour support phone line will open on November 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM and close on December 13, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Please call (844) 915-4274 for assistance.

Additional members must be age 45 or over, or if under age 45, must meet one of the following exceptions: 1) spouse or cohabitant of Head of Household; 2) someone who provides primary economic or physical support for the Head of Household; 3) a disabled child or grandchild who needs to live with the Head of Household because of their disabling condition. Preference will be given to households that include at least one senior adult, defined as age 55 or older, who is deaf..
All units include: stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coin-operated laundry facility onsite, cable ready. Amenities: Community kitchen, recreation room and garden, outdoor courtyard, supportive services, elevators, controlled access, computer room w/digital video cameras. Special Feature For Hearing Impaired: strobe lights to signify doorbell, phone & fire alarms, video camera and TTY intercoms and elevators w/windows to allow signing with the outside in case of a malfunction, two social workers onsite. Throughout the complex, the architect emphasized clear lines of sight to enable visual communication.
