Maudelle Miller Shirek Community is a new construction, 100% affordable housing community designed for individuals and families, including households transitioning out of homelessness. The 6-story building will provide 87 rental apartments provide 87 affordable studio, one- two-, and three-bedroom apartments in Berkeley, across the street from the Ashby BART Station. Construction is projected to be complete by early June 2024 and move-in will occur shortly after that.
Min. Income Requirement 2X the rent. Wheelchair Inquire. Max income range from $20,720 for one-person household to $117,180 for eight-person household. Online Pre-Applications will be available starting Monday, January 29, 2024 at 9:00 AM until Monday, February 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Apply at http://housing.acgov.org Applicants will be reviewed in lottery rank order until all vacancies are filled.
Unit Amenities: Bath, Refrigerator, Range and Oven, Dishwasher in 1, 2 & 3 Bedrooms, free basic internet. Amenities: On-Site Property Management and Resident Services, Laundry, Bicycle Parking, Community Room with Kitchen, Landscaped Courtyard with Children’s Play Areas, and a Smoke-Free Community. Services Offered: A Resident Service Coordinator will be available on-site.
